ENTREPId Consortium - European Train Noise Reduction Partnership

TOUAX has played the leader of the ENTREPId Consortium - European Train Noise Reduction Partnership – for the coordination of report to CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Agency). With the 6 members of the consortium,  the target to retrofit more than 8 000 wagons equipped with silent brake shoes between 2019 and 2024 has been reached or so, thanks to the general collaboration of all parties. This program of financial support to Keepers was initiated by CEF (Connecting Europe Facility), the EU funding program.

The members of the consortium are European well-known actors _ Lineas (Belgium), Millet (France), Touax (Ireland), Ambroggio & SITFA (Italy) and AX Benet (Slovakia) _ have together led to achieve the program. Thanks to the great support of CINEA in the preparation and finalization of the report, the members will present in 2025 the final report of the program completed to CINEA.

The members of ENTREPId expect the major reduction of noise pollution to lead to improve the environmental conditions and reinforce the confidence of the transport sector in the rail solution.
